Controls
This one uses the stick and the big button, nothing else.
| What you press | What it does |
|---|---|
| Stick | lean the rocket, one notch a tap |
| Button 1 — the big button | launch, then boost |
How a round goes
Three launches each. The windsock under the moon shows the wind as chevrons — one per notch — and which way it blows. The stick leans your rocket in those same notches, and nothing marks the right one: you read the sock and answer it. Lean into the wind and the rocket flies straight; lean the wrong way, or not at all, and it drifts and loses height. When you press, the strip shows the notch you should have picked, so the next launch is easier.
That press starts the power bar, which fills once and never comes back. Green near the top is full power. The red band above it is the engine letting go on the pad — nothing scored, two launches left — and a bar nobody stops gets there on its own. Then the first stage burns out, the rocket stalls, and a ring closes on it: press as it turns green and the second stage fires. Press badly, or not at all, and it misfires and blows up, banking whatever height it had reached.
Scoring and winning
Each flight scores its altitude out of 100 — power, lean and boost together — so a perfect round is 300. Altitude is height on the screen, so the four dashed marks hang on one scale and the highest is simply the highest. Ties share.
Tips
- Count the chevrons, then count the same number of notches the other way.
- A weak flight always beats a wreck: if in doubt, stop the bar early.
- A flight of 95 or more reaches the moon.
