How a round goes
The whole field launches together at the green light. Every car has the same top speed and the same shove off the line; only the checkered zone is drawn fresh for each lane, so you cannot copy your neighbour. You get one press of the brake per run, and then the car rolls to a stop on its own.
Rounds repeat and get harder: the cars get faster and the zone narrower, and from the second round the zone sometimes slides along the road or shrinks while you are still rolling. Each player has three hearts; a miss, or flying off the end of the road, costs one. Out of hearts is out.
Scoring and winning
A stop inside the zone is a perfect stop and one point. Most perfect stops wins when the field is out; if nobody stopped in the zone, it is a scoreless tie.
Tips
- Brake early rather than late: the car keeps rolling after the press.
- Watch the zone before you brake. After the opening round it does not always stay still.
