Controls
The one game that needs four buttons and no stick: the pads sit in the same 2×2 shape as buttons 1, 2, 4 and 5 under your hand. There is no countdown — the first pattern starts when the round does.
| What you press | What it does |
|---|---|
| Button 1 — the big button | top-left pad |
| Button 2 | top-right pad |
| Button 4 | bottom-left pad |
| Button 5 | bottom-right pad |
How a round goes
Everyone watches the same pattern, then races to repeat it on their own pads. Each round adds one more colour to the end. Every colour is also a note, so the pattern is a little tune.
The next round starts once every surviving player has had their turn.
Scoring and winning
A wrong pad costs a life and ends your round. On your own you have one life — one slip ends it, and your round count goes to the leaderboard. With friends everyone has two, so a single fumble in round two does not park a kid for the game.
The last player still in wins. If everyone goes out in the same round, the deepest round wins; equal depth is a tie.
Tips
- Hum it. The pads are notes, and a tune is easier to hold than four colours.
- This one flashes. Reduced-flashing mode in the console dampens or withholds it.
