How a round goes
No countdown; the bomb is live from the start. Press to pass it to the next player round the circle — you cannot choose who. After you receive it you are stuck holding it for most of a second while a ring fills around you; when the ring is full, a pulsing ring and PASS IT! say you may.
The fuse is hidden, somewhere between three and eight seconds, rerolled after every bang. In the last stretch the bomb glows and its ticking speeds up, and that is all the warning you get. Boom means whoever holds it is out, and a new bomb starts with the survivors.
Scoring and winning
No points: the last player standing wins. If the bomb blows in mid-air, the thrower is out.
Tips
- The one holding it is terrified; everyone else is enjoying this. Pass the moment the ring fills.
- Listen. The fizz gives away exactly as much as the glow does, and nothing more.
