Race car birthday party ideas for a living room track
Every child arrives ready to be loud. Give the noise a shape and you have a party.

The Race Cars pack is $9 on its own, and one theme pack is already included with the Box.
The plan
Two hours of race cars party
Food
- "Pit stop fuel" — juice boxes lined up in a row with paper flags taped on.
- Checkered cake: chocolate and vanilla squares, no piping skills required.
- Tyre cookies, which are just chocolate ring biscuits with a name on the box.
Decorations
- Black electrical tape as a road down the hallway. It comes up cleanly and kids follow it without being asked.
- A checkered flag over the TV — that is your finish line for the day.
- Number stickers on the back of every chair, so every seat is a car.
One thing that isn’t a screen
A pinewood-style ramp race with toy cars, best of three, everyone gets a run.
What usually goes wrong
Toy car races end in an argument about who won. The screen keeps the score, shows it to everyone, and settles it without you.
A running order that works
0:00–0:20
Arrival
Guests trickle in over twenty minutes. Have the on-arrival activity out and the TV showing the attract screen.
0:20–0:45
The activity
One thing off the screen, with a clear end. Twenty-five minutes is the ceiling.
0:45–1:00
Cake
Sing, cut, hand it out. Do not do this at the start; sugar first is a mistake you make once.
1:00–1:40
The tournament
Five games on the TV, four kids at a time, names entered once. This is the loudest and easiest forty minutes of the party.
1:40–2:00
Wind down
Free play on the console, party bags by the door, parents arriving. The screen keeps everyone in one room while you hand out bags.
The arcade
All 38 games, in Race Cars colours
A theme pack is a full reskin — art and palette — over mechanics that already work. These four suit a race cars party particularly well.
The invitation
3 ways a race cars invitation can look
Free with every package, and it is the same page your guests actually open — a countdown, the address, a map and a two-tap RSVP. No ads, no account, nothing to install.
